October 3, 2020
HOMEARAMA® 2020 is your chance to tour seven fully decorated and landscaped homes right in the Queen City. Here’s what you need to know before you go:
The city of Cincinnati’s first HOMEARAMA will be held at Walworth Junction, an urban “infill” residential development in the East End. The site was formerly a hub for the Pennsylvania Railroad and has been transformed into a modern, walkable community with sidewalks connecting it to local business districts.
The 57th annual luxury home showcase highlights beautiful houses built in a variety of architectural styles with rooftop terraces and porches overlooking the Ohio River. The homes range in price from $1.2 to $1.6 million.
HOMEARAMA will be held from Saturday, October 10, until Sunday, October 25. The popular home show will be open Monday through Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. You won’t want to miss the gorgeous sunset views!
The best part about HOMEARAMA, aside from touring amazing homes? There’s no need to worry about dinner: This year’s show will host two food trucks on-site, and delicious ice cream from Cowboy Cones will also be available. Not in the mood for a meal? Have a drink instead. Wine and special HOMEARAMA beer from Streetside Brewery will be offered daily.
Cincinnati HOMEARAMA is located at 3107 Walworth Avenue. You can use this address for handicap parking or handicap drop off. However, there is no general parking at this address. Instead, look into these three parking options:
1. Schmidt Boat Ramp and Sports Complex at 250 St. Peters Street contains 360 paved parking spaces open for attendees. Wait for a bus or walk six blocks, cross at a crosswalk by Hi-Mark Bar and Emma’s Wine Bar on Riverside Drive and take the tunnel and steps up to the show site on Walworth Ave.
2. Peddlers Flea Market at 4343 Kellogg Avenue has 500 paved parking spaces available for attendees (during all show hours on weekdays and after 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays). Weekday buses are available beginning 15 minutes before the show opens, while weekend buses are available beginning at 2 p.m.
3. Lunken Playfield at 4740 Playfield Lane is reserved for overflow parking with 153 paved parking spaces. Visitors will only be permitted to park at this lot if directed to do so by parking attendants at Schmidt Boat Ramp and Sports Complex or Peddlers Flea Market. Otherwise, buses will not be available.
Buses will run continuously at each parking site unless otherwise stated. Guests will be required to wear a facemask on buses and throughout HOMEARAMA with the exception of children under the age of 2 or those who have a medical exception. Ready to visit the brand-new neighborhood with million-dollar homes featuring stunning river and city views? Don’t forget to purchase your tickets, which are available to buy online, in the HOMEARAMA app or at the gate. (Discounted tickets are not available at Kroger this year, due to COVID restrictions.)
Single day tickets are $19 at the gate and $17 on the HOMEARAMA app or online. A special two-day ticket will be available for $29 at the gate only. Children 12 years old and under are admitted for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult. No tickets to the show will be sold after 8 p.m.
In order to spread out show attendance and encourage social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic, $16 discount tickets are available for visitors who purchase online and attend HOMEARAMA Monday through Thursday. This special ticket price is only available online or on the app and valid during those weekdays.
Before you’re able to walk, talk, sip and savor, pick out your favorite face mask and comfiest pair of gym shoes. As Walworth Junction is a walkable community and all featured homes contain stairs, it’s recommended visitors wear comfortable and supportive footwear to HOMEARAMA.
Let the talented builders, designers, landscapers and pros involved in HOMEARAMA how much you appreciate their hard work. As you leave the show, don’t forget to submit your picks for the People’s Choice Awards.
