The seven HOMEARAMA®2020 homes are extraordinary, just like this year’s setting. The show’s site in the city of Cincinnati has inspired contemporary homes with cutting-edge urban style and the luxury you expect from HOMEARAMA.
Here is your first look at all the homes and their floor plans.
Up first at 2879 Walworth Ave. is Wieland Builders’ “The Millard Fillmore,” designed by Mark Dierkers Architecture. This 5,000-square foot home faces the street with a striking brick facade. Inside, you’ll find three levels of luxurious living.
The lower level is designed for entertaining. Just off the garage is a large family space with a fully outfitted kitchenette. A full bath and linen storage give this level plenty of versatility: Imagine it as a home office, guest suite or granny flat.
The main level offers an open great room, kitchen and dining area anchored by a fireplace. With river and city views just outside, the rear covered porch and sitting area enclosed in glass will be favorite places for the home’s new owners.
Up on the second floor, the grand staircase will bring visitors to the home’s bedrooms and spectacular master suite. The suite’s private covered porch overlooks the view. A clever layout allows access to the laundry room from all bedrooms and the master suite’s huge walk-in closet.
The third floor is all about spending time with friends and family. A gathering space with a handy bar opens onto an oversized terrace that takes in the view. Plenty of windows flood this level with natural light.
Another home that new owners have already claimed is The Royal Blue from Redknot Homes. designed by Kenneth R. Bowerman Architect, Inc. Named after The Royal Blue, a flagship passenger train on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, this 4,500-square-foot home is a fresh take on a Victorian “painted lady.”
Take the stairs to the third floor of this home and you’ll walk into the prime entertainment area. This floor is home to a private study, a large entertainment room with a pub, and a full bathroom. The large Nanawall door allows the back wall to completely open to an oversized rooftop terrace and hot tub, making indoor/outdoor entertaining fluid.
One floor below is the main living space with an open concept kitchen, dining, and great room. A screened terrace overlooking the river view is sure to catch your eye.
The first floor offers a luxurious master suite with two walk-in closets and a view. There's a convenient first-floor laundry room, another bedroom with en suite bath, and a welcoming foyer for guests.
After parking on the lower level, the homeowners will enter through a mudroom. An exercise room and bedroom with a full bath round out the spaces on this level.
Custom-built by Frazier Homes, The Riverview is located at 2897 Walworth Ave. and is currently available to purchase. With 6,000 square feet of living space, this contemporary home, designed by Paul Studer, takes full advantage of its site.
Starting with a three-car garage on the lower level, the home provides plenty of wow factor. Look for a bedroom and full bath on this level, along with the mudroom and plenty of storage.
The third floor will be a luxurious retreat for the home’s future owners. A private balcony and rooftop terrace add to the master suite’s spacious bedroom, sumptuous bath and walk-in closets.
The second floor includes the home’s main living areas, centered around an open great room. You’ll feel connected to the outdoors on all sides with a grilling deck, balcony and oversized porch on this level. Working from home? A handy office is on this level, too.
Entertaining is easy with help from the large media area, bar and porch on the first floor. A workout in the home gym can be followed by a refreshing sauna session. A bedroom and bath on this floor accommodate guests or family.
A mix of materials on the outside of The Berkley make it a stand-out. Designed by Mary Cassinelli Architect and built by Sterling Homes, this 4,400-square-foot house at 2903 Walworth Ave. follows the long tradition of premium quality, amenity-filled HOMEARAMA homes.
Get the party started at this house on the third floor. A walk up the stairs brings you to an entertaining space that opens to a front and back deck. Hosting is easy with a built-in wet bar.
Down one level, the second floor includes the master suite as well as two other bedrooms that share a jack-and-jill bath. Plenty of windows in the master bedroom take in the view. A washer and dryer on this level make laundry day a snap.
Below, on the first floor, a fireplace in the great room sits opposite the doorway to a veranda that’s also accessed by the open kitchen. A private study on this level provides an escape from daily activities. Just off the dining area is a bar and walk-in pantry.
The last stop is the lower level. Here you’ll find an oversized garage, a bedroom with en suite bath and plenty of storage space.
Redknot Homes paired with Perry Bush Residential Designs to create The Conductor, a light-filled contemporary that gives a nod to Walworth Junction’s railyard past. Located at 2909 Walworth Ave., the home’s 5,200 square feet are spread over four levels and accessed by the stairs.
The lower level includes a garage, bedroom with bath, home gym and a safe room. There’s also a dedicated storage space that the new owners will certainly appreciate.
One flight up is the first floor where two of the home’s four bedrooms are located. The master suite includes a stand-alone tub and oversized shower. There’s a dedicated laundry room on this level and plenty of closet space, as well as a den for lounging or entertainment.
The second floor is where you’ll find the wide open family room, dining area and kitchen. A large pantry is a bonus for the owners. Eager to get outside? Sliding doors in both the dining area and family room open onto a deck with views.
For even more fresh air, head up to the third floor, where a rooftop terrace wraps around the back of the home, facing the view. An indoor/outdoor wet bar and a window wall are two of the special touches you’ll find at the top of this home. Guests can stay in the fourth-floor bedroom with en suite bathroom to enjoy the views of the river during their visit.
At 2933 Walworth Ave., The Bella Vista, built by Sterling Homes, packs a lot of amenities into 3,800 square feet. Designed by Wentz Design to offer plenty of curb appeal, this home echoes modern farmhouse style with an urban edge.
Starting at the lower level, a spacious mudroom with coat closet is conveniently located near the three-car garage. The home’s new owners will be able to outfit the workout room on this level to their exact specifications.
Head up one floor by the stairs and you’ll discover an open living room, dining area and kitchen. (Don’t miss the hidden butler’s pantry.) Visitors will be drawn to the large covered outdoor living space that steps out onto a deck with river views.
On the home’s second floor, a spacious master suite fans out from a central hall. Ready to pamper the new owners, this suite includes separate his and hers closets, a luxury bath, adjacent laundry and views from all sides.
The third floor is the place to relax. A comfortable den with a bar opens with sliding doors to a porch with bird’s-eye views of the river and city in the distance. Guests will enjoy their own private bedroom and bath suite on this level.
Creating a distinctive first impression, The Silverthorne features a two-tone exterior, multilevel roofline and dramatic windows. Built by JNB Custom Homes and designed by Denis L. Back and Associates, this home at 2945 Walworth Ave. offers almost 6,000 square feet of living space sure to please its lucky new owners.
The second floor living area centers around a fireplace--and there’s another fireplace outside on this level’s screened porch. Expansive windows in the dining area and a window wall that opens to the deck bring a flood of light into the home.
Upstairs, on the third floor, a recreation room also features a fireplace, although your eyes will most likely go straight to the huge rooftop terrace first. A bedroom with an attached bath is also found on this floor.
Three other bedrooms, including the master suite are located on the first floor and are easily accessed by stairs. While the master bath offers all the luxury amenities, the two additional bedrooms share a charming jack-and-jill bath.
Downstairs, just off the two-car garage a mudroom corrals coats and belongings. All-important storage space is included on this level, too. A quick walk up the stairs will take you straight to the kitchen when you arrive home with groceries.
