The park is home to 53 tree species, over 200 species of herbaceous vegetation, kingfishers, small fish, snapping turtles, mallards, wood ducks, beavers, pileated woodpeckers, great horned owls, butterflies and hummingbirds. Parky’s Wetland Adventures at Woodland Mound

Build a custom home in Parkside and you’ll be close to Parky’s Wetland Adventure. It’s the perfect spot for a warm summer day with kids aged 8 and under. Located within the Woodland Mound Park in Anderson Township, the splash park will delight kids with various levels of splash (spurts, showers, 16-foot slides down a tree, smaller slides) and keep them entertained for hours. The Miller-Leuser Log House was built sometime between 1793 and 1796, after 600 acres of land, part of Anderson Township, was granted to a Revolutionary War veteran. Bass Island/Avoca Park
